Community Impact Projects
by The Bluestem Institute
During the spring semester, Bluestem students were invited to conduct a Community Impact Project of their own design. They began this service-learning initiative by conducting inquiry research into the needs of our community. They identified community partners to help design ways to meet those needs. Collaborating with these professionals, Bluestem students worked in small teams to conduct their projects and produce their deliverables. The students shared their project goals and accomplishments during the Community Impact Project Exhibition at the Ames Public Library. Explore the digital narrative slideshows below to see how Bluestem students worked to make a difference in our community.
